_*Basic Function*_
The basic function of the Senior Development Engineer is to apply technical creativity and engineering innovation to the products and services of the company.
Fundamental to the success in this position is the person’s willingness and effectiveness in devising solutions relevant to E3’s expected safety, product performance, and financial metrics.
The core duties of this role relate to Product Development in full lifecycle [design, test, produce, sell, service].
Product developments are focused on current and future growth of the E3 product line(s).
This person works diligently with all departments affected within the company and external customers.
_*Role and Responsibilities*_
_75% - Conceptual, Developmental, Prototyping, and Production Engineering [Products]_
* Works with Sales and Service departments to determine product need
* Proposes product(s) considering engineering fit, form, and function of the need
* Project approval and development will follow ISO process and procedure
* Engineer product(s) to optimize fit, form, and function, maximizing manufacturing efficiency, service maintenance and product commercial viability
* Leads design of experiments, senior level design calculations, and simulation modeling
* Product iterations to ensure constant improvements in revenue generations
* Participate in semi-annual meetings to anticipate market changes, evaluate existing products, and generate new product development ideas
* Support technical sales literature creation and sales function of product(s)
_10% - Quality Assurance_
* Supports the ISO requirements and quality goals of the company
* Aids Quality department with development of quality control plans and product performance criteria
* Authorizes and audits produced technical documentation pertinent to products
* Supports technical writing as a Subject Matter Expert
_5% - Engineering training programs_
* Engaged with the company training programs for both internal and external external customer training programs
* Ensures principles of the engineering intent is adequately conveyed to affected personnel
_10% - Employee and management engagement_
* Works with employees to maximize company value through coaching and training
* Evaluates whether company goals and product objectives are realistic and obtainable.
Works directly with senior and executive management teams.
_*Additional Job Requirements:*_
* Travel as necessary, generally overnight stays would not exceed 2 work weeks consecutively
* Able to sit for extended time to perform computer assisted duties
* Able to drive company vehicle (DOT physical)
* Able to lift heavy parts and assist in assembly of new or repair of existing equipment

in Engineering or Other Technical Field with 10+ year applicable experience

_*Required Skills *_
* Technical Problem-Solving and Mechanical/Electrical Aptitude is required of the candidate
* Ability to apply critical thinking and technical knowledge to develop solutions for customer problems
* Experience with ISO based quality system.
* Experience with API/ASME codes
* Prior experience with pressure vessel and related control systems
* Strong computer and administration skills
* Strong oral and written communications skills
* Familiarity with P&ID’s, build instructions and CAD principles (Solidworks skills preferred)
