Engineering District 1 is actively searching for a Chief Real Estate Appraiser who will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the District's appraisers with their expertise in appraisals.
If this position aligns with your skills and interests, don't hesitate to apply today! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Chief Real Estate Appraiser, you will manage appraisal activities for Right of Way acquisitions, dispositions, and Maintenance Unit property needs.
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the appraisal process in the acquisition department.
Additionally, you will act as a bridge between the Right of Way Administrator, handling contracts, schedules, and plan development related to acquisitions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successful completion of probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
This position may be eligible for an Alternate Work Schedule (AWS).
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a General Real Estate Appraiser (commonwealth title); or Three years of professional real estate appraisal experience which includes one year appraising all types of real property.
Special Requirements: All positions require possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified General Appraiser certification.
All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
